Posted by: Richard C on 2008-11-06, 06:51:28 Start with the stomach question first. The Russians tried to increase the size of the stomach and found that it was not practical. In order to do what you want the muscles must undergo a contraction. To do this they must undergo what is called tentany. This is a state where the muscle is fully contracted. It is a painful state and not one that someone would willingly want to undergo. The FDA has made manufacturers withdrawl such products many times as they are dangerous and could cause severe burns. As to the use of a stimulator for muscle pain you should talk to the therapist about what can be done to control this and what is the underlying cause. You might need specific exercises to stabilize the shoulder, neck, abdominals, hips, legs, and lower back. Stretching is not the answer for it doesn't address the problem that the muscles are having. |
