I had surgery in 2000, now i still have the rods and pins in my ankle.the dr. said if the metal wasn't removed, i will/ will not have arthitihis, depend on the person.

It could possibly cause it, but you need to see a specialist if pain is present. They can actually tell you specifics about your case. Good luck!!!
