Question: Is my index finger broken (can't bend it)?

I tried out for volleyball in school today, and when I tried to spike a volleyball my index finger was a little bent and instead of hitting the ball with my wrist, I hit it with my hand. Now I can't bend my finger properly. It's a little bent and I can't bend it so that it's straight, and I can't bend it all the way. It's swelling a little and hurts whenever I try to bend my finger. I hope it's not broken, because if it is I'm going to be in deep trouble (I play the piano and practice 3 hours a day)

Im am sorry to say it is broken :9 the best thing you can do is get a popsicle stick and bandages and keep that finder wrapped up until you can visit your doctor swelling means you broke it

It's probably broken, but could be just that you jammed your finger. i'd still go to a dr. tho. they'll tell you what you did to yourself. until then, keep it in a splint, or tape it to another finger. good luck :-D
