Question: I think my index finger broken?

I'm in a lot of pain. and when it bent i heard it crack. and make a weird sound, it hurt like hell, and it has gone away a bit. i can move it somewhat... i don't know if it is worth going to the E.R. for?

If it is broken you may see swelling and you probably will not be able to bend it. If it hurts to hit the end or to bump it you might want to get a splint from your local pharmacy you may have cracked the bone but they do not o much for broken fingers unless the skin has been punctured by bone. you can just tape it to the next one for a couple of days. You are not in danger of death the ER is not really the place to go you can wait until tomorrow for regular doc. Take some tylenol for pain and swelling.

U can try resting for a few weeks and apply some medicine my pointing finger was in lots of pain when i bend it too much but when i waited for few weeks applying medicine no more pain

Yes, it could easily be broken and you need to have it checked out now. NOT later. If you wait it could start healing wrong and then it will be more serious than ever. Go and get it X-rayed.
