From just this little bit you've said, there could be several reasons, but the 2 that pop up the most are either low calcium or fibromyalgia. You could try taking a calcium supplement for a while to see if that helps calm down the twitching. If it helps, you should still probably see a doctor because low calcium can be caused by parathyroid problems. Fibromyalgia is a little more complicated to treat, and would have to be diagnosed by a doctor, also. Good luck.

Yeah like Gracelyn said, you should definitely see a doctor. I know everyone says that but we only say it because it's really the best advice, since YA isn't intended to substitute for professional medical advice. But anyway, I will try to help you out best I can. Gracelyn brought up fibromyalgia. That would totally explain the muscle aches (only if severe though) and maybe even the twitching (more rare, but definitely a symptom I've heard people with fibromyalgia report). But you didn't say how intense your symptoms were. I personally have fibromyalgia (and I'm only 20...I was just diagnosed a few months ago) and I hate it so much when people just throw the term around like it's a catchall. There's really so much more to it than just widespread pain. People who suffer from fibromyalgia also experience a plethora of debilitating symptoms such as totally unrefreshing sleep (I am always tired), tiring easily, headaches (migraines for me and a lot of other patients), restless legs (where you want to saw your legs off sometimes, especially at night, because they're so miserable feeling), IBS, dizziness (this was one of the symptoms I had for 2 years with no explanation until my diagnosis!), vision problems, dry skin/ eyes/ mouth (I also experience a gross taste in my mouth, but that may be from it being dry), increased sensitivity to light/ sound/ smells (like if someone has the slightest hint of B.O. I feel very nauseous & I can smell *anything* a mile away) and anxiety & depression (which is really a Catch-22 if you ask me since the anxiety & depression lead to decreased activity, making fibromyalgia worse, but fibromyalgia and all the pain it causes can easily lead to depression). These are just the symptoms that I experience on a daily basis, and usually on a very strongly. But I don't want you to think every day is from hell (even though most are unfortunately). I do have good days though where I can get by and manage to really enjoy life. So if when you see the doctor he does end up diagnosing you with fibromyalgia, you should know there's hope and also a huge community of people to support you. :) Best of luck to you!
