does it mean i can never eat chocolate and have soda again? never eat after 7 PM again?i've been having SLIGHT not serious burning sensations in my stomach for the past 2 weeksi lost about 8 pounds if not more in the past 2 weeksand i've been having CHEST PAINS like crazy and trouble breathingi've been to the hospital 4 times and they finally said they think it's acid refluxcan you tell me how serious it is? my stomach really doesn't hurt & these symtpoms have never happened beforei can't live without chocolate as stupid as they may sound am i NEVER allowed to have it again or just once in a while ?i'm on some sort of melox or something pill now .. and some other pill .. so i don't know, can you help me?

First off im 15 and last night this morning i didnt get to bed until 5 00 am because my acid reflux was acting up............i took pepto bismal chewables at like 3 00 and it went away after a while ive gone to my doctor and many specialists who say i cant be perscribed nexium or things like that because of my medical history when i was 5 i was diagnosed with leukemia what else can i do to prevent this?any good tips or tricks?Thanksi did get rid of the leukemia......i had chemo for a couple of years and now ive been on remission for over 7
Anyone ever had this with acid reflux? ?
I had something very scary happen to me the other night. I woke up from a sound sleep gasping for breath it was as if I couldn't breath. It woke my husband right up as well. After what seemed like forever I finally calmed down and was able to catch my breath. I noticed a nasty acid taste in my mouth like I get when I have acid reflux which I am on medicine for. Has anyone ever had this? I did some googling on this and it found that you could actually choke on your own acid reflux.

Acid reflux and thick mucus in throat - advice needed.?
Hi All,I wonder whether anyone can help or reassure me.I have suffered from acid reflux as a result of panic anxiety for a number of years. The main symptoms were originally burning in the chest sternum, regurgitating acid into to throat, burning between the shoulder blades, and constant belching.More recently these symptoms increased to include a thick coating of phlegm in the mouth, and a thick, heavy, mass of mucus in the back of my throat. The latter makes swallowing uneasy, and panics me sometimes that I can't breath.I went to the doctor who prescribed me the PPI Protium Protonix in the US . Obviously I'm impatient and anxious to help the symptoms as they're really distracting I'm off work with them and unpleasant too.My questions are 1. Has anyone suffered anything similar?2. What is causing this thick mucus in my throat?and 3. How long do these PPI's take to work? Do they help with removing the mucus?Any replies really appreciated. Acid reflux (GERD) and breathing problems? Help please.?
Hi All,I have suffered from acid reflux for a number of years, and have recently been described Nexium 40mg to help.My symptoms include burning in chest below rib cage between shoulder blades, along with excess phlegm, post nasal drip, sore throat.Most recently, though, it seems to be giving me breathing problems. I read asthma and GERD are related, but I'm not having the typical asthma symptoms tight chest, wheezing etc. , just a feeling that I can't relax my breathing like hyperventilation, and it's worse at night.Can anyone help reassure me? Will the Nexium help this? I haven't been able to sleep for not being able to regulate my breathing.Thanks.
