Can someone please tell me that every ache and pain doesnt have to mean it's a disease?

Question: Can someone please tell me that every ache and pain doesnt have to mean it's a disease?

As a hypochondriac, I am convinced I have a disease from using chap stick. I experience aches, sometimes itchiness, sometimes weird sensations throughout my body that freak me out. Right now my legs kind of hurt and my back hurts. My neck too. I'm freaking out. Help.

Not all aches and pains mean diseases. I use chap stick. Daily. I experience aches and weird sensations, but never the itchiness. Sometimes my legs hurt - after work out. Sometimes my back hurts - when I have my period. Sometims my neck hurts - when I sleep in certain position or when Im im front of computer too long. Dont freak out. Go to your doctor and say everything you wrote here.

Relax, our bodies don't have to feel good all the time! just normal things like stress, long days, fitful sleeping, stress, general existence hurts! I often feel sick and crappy but that's just life. plus i tend to be more sensitive to discomfort than most people. probably you are too. but um no you can't get diseases from chapstick.

You are not a hypochondriac, you have anxiety. I have anxiety too. And mine causes me to think that every little ache and pain is a fatal illness. Trust me, its not. Howvever, you will not stop thinking this way without help. See your doctor for a referal to a good mental health professional. :)

Cars make all kinds of squeeky noises, even though there is nothing wrong with them. The same goes for the human body. We have minor aches, pains, itches, and whatever, even though there is nothing wrong with us. Don't let worry wreck your life.

Take 2 advil & call me in the morning. we can't prove anything to you. If you want to believe things that you know are wrong, see a therapist.

Take a breath. Now then, chap stick cannot cause you to have a disease unless it's some kind of funky Cuban kind and you're allergic. Otherwise, I think you have anxiety and are experience a panic attack. Stress can cause your brain to work into overdrive, inserting thoughts of paranoia and worry that causes your body to react to not only the daily exhaustion, but to symptoms you're body is feeling that is natural. Leg pain and back pain are a common side-effect of strenuous exercise, heavy lifting, constant bending, twisting, or even walking on concrete surfaces for extended periods of time without the appropriate shoes on. To rectify your discomfort, take a hot bath/ shower, put on something comfortable, and do something that normally takes your mind off of things. I know that watching a comical movie or sitcom generally perks me up. If the pain is still bothersome, try a pain reliever like Tylenol or Motrin or you can rub some pain relief cream on the affected areas-like Aspercream (which I use) or others that are a bit more potent. While I would say go to the doctor, which I am saying go to your doctor if you're that worried, try to not have to resort to anti-depressants. They can become addictive and sometimes make the situation worse. For a remedy when suffering a panic attack, your body is sending out an alarm that you need to slow down and calm down. Take deep breaths, projecting your lower abdomen outward as you inhale. Stiffen your muscles while inhaling and keep a straight posture. Then after you lungs feel pretty full, release gently in a nice sigh and allow your body to fall limp as you exhale. This improves blood flow throughout your body and will help to slow your heart rate down whenever you feel it racing. Play a song or imagine listening to it-particularly one that inspires you to press forward. Take one step at a time, take measures to make yourself feel comfortable in uncomfortable situations, and try to let go of the worry that something bad will happen anytime you do an action or activity. If you're very concerned about such things, then try background information checks on products you use. Take care
